In 2004, I turned to AAA Fair Credit because I had over $25000 in credit cards. I had gone over the limit on a couple and was getting my rates jacked to anywhere from 19.9% to 29.9% even though I kept making payments. I seriously thought about bankruptcy but that would have destroyed my credit for many years. I had a FICO of 613 when I called and they spoke to me for about 45 minutes the first time. They were very sympathetic (I made a poor investment during the DOT COMs by borrowing money and lost most of it)... They negotiated rates for me from 0%-9.9% and I went into a payment program that was very close to what my actual minimum payments were. Except this time, I was paying principal on the cc's and in some cases the WHOLE payment to a card was principal. They were very good. They worked with me to build a budget and determine what I could afford to pay on each one. Slowly but surely, I paid off all the cards -- just completing my last payment two months ago. Now I have no credit card de bt, own a house, have one car paid off, and have an 806 FICO score. These guys were a part of the solution... they are not scammers... and their monthly maintenance fee was a fraction of what I was saving in interest each month. When I finished paying the principal on one of my cards, they cc company wrote off over $2000 in interest! That is what I would have had to pay if I wasn't a part of this program... And that was just ONE card! If you are struggling and not sure which company you can trust, call these guys.

I was beyond my beaking point, when I finally called AAA. I wasn't even living from paycheck to paycheck. I wouldn't answer my phone, because of the creditors calling me 2 to 3 times a day each. I swear. I saw an ad, and thought. I have nothing more to lose at this point. The counsler was awesome. She spent at least 15 minutes, just listening and resuring me it will all be ok. Before even asking me anything about my accounts. She never made comments like,"how did you allow yourself to get in this position?" or anything like that. And that's what I didn't need to hear.By the end of the phone call, I felt like I just lost a huge mountain off me. within a few days, my phone didn't ring at all. This time two years ago, my account with Discover was officially through the roof! I attempted to do it on my own, but my plan was unsuccessful until I stumbled upon a number for AAA Fair Credit. I must admit, I was very leery about the whole thing - I had never heard of you all, you weren't local, and how was I supposed to be comfortable with you all to begin with? I really want to tell you what a blessing it has been to sign up with AAA Fair Credit. The first few months were tough, but as in all things patience was vital. Before my divorce, I struggled to pay my bills and it was very hard and frustrating. I got an e-mail for AAA Fair Credit and I called and it was best thing I did. AAA Fair Credit was a life saver for me and prevented me from filing bankruptcy. I did not have enough debt to file for bankruptcy, but as soon as a made a call someone returned my call in 24 hours. It was very easy. I collected all my bills when that person called. They were patient and I was able to find them all and the customer service representative did not say collect them then call back; the customer service representative was very nice. Every time I call, I talk to a very nice customer service representative that can even explain things to me that happen. I had one of my creditors to send me a letter and say they were dropping me off the debt management program, but when I call the creditor they could not answer my questions. But as soon as I called AAA Fair Credit, the customer service representative was able to tell me that another company was taking over the account for repayment and that I had not been dropped off the debt management program. That was a relief, I thought I was going to have to start all over. Thanks everyone at AAA Fair Credit for being my number one life saver.
