Medical Debt Assistance Program (MDAP)

A large percentage of personal bankruptcies are caused by medical debt, often needlessly harming both the patient and the care giving facility. The Medical Debt Assistance Program (MDAP) is designed specifically to mathematically evaluate and fully document the patient’s hardship and their ability to repay a portion of their debt based on a very precise assessment of their ability to repay.

Our assessed, verified and certified approach to responsible debt repayment is perfectly suited to the challenges of the heavy burden of medical debt. Patients who have been healed want to pay their bills, but often cannot. Hospitals that want to collect those unpaid debts are mindful both of their economic needs and the need to be compassionate about the patients’ emotional needs and mindful of the protecting their reputation in the communities they serve.

With sophisticated algorithmic analysis and certified documentation, the patient is offered a plan they can actually afford to repay and the hospital and its collection staff may be confident that the patient’s offer to pay is based on their true economic condition and repayment capacity. MDAP provides a fact-based and documented look at the patient’s financial reality and enables a win-win-win for the patient, the caregiving facility, its collection operations and the community.

If you or someone you know is overwhelmed by medical debt, please call our National Financial Counseling Center at 1-800-351-4195 for a free confidential consultation with a Certified Financial Counselor.
